A single bedazzled sock worn by Michael Jackson during a 1990s concert in France recently sold for over $8,000 at auction. A technician discovered the used sock abandoned near Jackson’s dressing room after a show in Nîmes in 1997. The self-proclaimed “King of Pop” frequently donned rhinestone-embellished white athletic socks as part of his costuming for the “HIStory World Tour” that year. Though stained and discolored decades later, the auctioneer described the item as an “exceptional” and “cult” collectible for Jackson’s dedicated fanbase. This follows other record-breaking Jackson memorabilia sales, including a $350,000 glittery glove from his famous 1983 “Moonwalk” performance and an $80,000 hat from that same era. (CTV)
