The Alamo Visitor Center & Museum has acquired the original stunt bicycle used in the 1985 film Pee-wee’s Big Adventure. In an Instagram post, the Alamo announced the iconic red bike will be permanently displayed when the museum opens in Fall 2027, coinciding with the film’s 40th anniversary. Prior to the museum’s debut, the Alamo will host a limited-time showing of the bike and a free public screening of the movie. The Alamo assured fans that the bike will be safely stored until its public debut, joking it may be kept “in the basement” (a reference to a joke in the movie). Earlier this year, the bike was sold at auction for $125,000 to a private collector. (THR)
