British social media chefs Phoenix Ross and Oli Paterson collaborated to craft the world’s largest scotch egg in Enfield, England. The colossal creation weighed an impressive 17 pounds and 3.48 ounces, surpassing the previous Guinness World Record of 13 pounds and 10 ounces that had held for nearly two decades. Using an ostrich egg as the centerpiece, the chefs wrapped it in sausage meat, coated it in breadcrumbs, and fried it to perfection. Despite an initial mishap causing the snack to fall apart, their second attempt was a success, with the massive scotch egg measuring 31.3 inches in circumference.
