Missouri factory worker Nicolas Lopez Gomez, 38, died after becoming trapped inside an industrial oven at the Gilster Marylee Cereal Plant in Perryville. Gomez, also known as Edward Avila, was cleaning the oven when the incident occurred. Co-workers called 911 in a failed attempt to rescue him. Authorities do not suspect foul play and are investigating the incident with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration. The factory, a supplier to retailers like Walmart, Sam’s Club, and Albertsons, expressed condolences. This tragedy follows a similar incident in Canada where a teen worker was found dead inside a Walmart oven. Walmart has since removed the oven from the store. (Dailymail)
