An Alaskan brown bear named Tundra underwent a unique dental procedure at the Lake Superior Zoo in northeastern Minnesota. Weighing 800 pounds, Tundra had a new silver-colored canine tooth crowned in what is believed to be the largest dental crown ever made. Dr. Grace Brown, a board-certified veterinary dentist, performed the hour-long procedure using a titanium alloy crown created by Creature Crowns. Tundra, who had a root canal on the same tooth two years ago, now sports a new, stronger crown. The bear is now back in his habitat at the zoo, behaving normally.
