The New Orleans Police Department is investigating an incident where a man stabbed himself to death during a chase with officers in the Lower Garden District. Police responded to a shoplifting report on June 19th located the suspect armed with two knives. Officers attempted to intervene, but the man fled. During the pursuit, the suspect began stabbing himself in the neck multiple times. Despite receiving aid from officers until emergency medical services arrived, the man succumbed to his injuries at a local hospital. (Wdsu)
