On Monday (June 16), G-Dragon announced North American and European dates on his ‘Übermensch‘ World Tour. This ongoing series of live shows marks the K-pop superstar’s highly anticipated return to the stage after an eight-year hiatus, and will hit major markets including Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Newark, and Paris this fall. The announcement comes after the Korean leg of the tour sold out instantaneously, with all 60,000 seats gone within seconds of going on sale. The shows are in support of G-Dragon’s third studio album, which debuted at No. 1 in South Korea, Japan and China. “G-Dragon promises a multisensory performance that redefines the limits of live artistry, blending music, fashion, digital innovation, and storytelling in a way only he can deliver,” reads a statement from tour organizers. The tour will kick off in North America on August 22 and conclude in Europe on September 20, with additional dates scheduled in Australia, Thailand, and Hong Kong beginning in August. (Variety)
