Meanwhile, Disney’s live-action Lilo & Stitch remake secured second place in its fourth weekend, having already grossed $858 million globally, putting it on track to become the year’s first billion-dollar release. The weekend’s other notable new release, Materialists, debuted at third place with a promising $12 million. Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning was fourth with $10.3 million and Ballerina, the John Wick spinoff, rounded out the top five with $9.4 million. (Variety)
