Ed Sheeran has just announced that his upcoming song, “Drive,” will feature Dave Grohl and John Mayer, and the track will be included on the soundtrack for the Formula 1 movie F1, set for theatrical release on June 27. The film’s official Instagram account previewed a snippet of the track on Thursday (May 15), with Sheeran sharing additional details about the song via his Instagram Story. “Sneak peek of the song I did for the F1 movie,” Sheeran wrote. “Mayer on guitar, Grohl on drums. A lot of fun making this, coming out next month with the movie.” The F1 soundtrack will contain 17 tracks, featuring contributions from Burna Boy, Raye, Tate McRae, Madison Beer, Tiësto, and Chris Stapleton, along with previously released singles “Lose My Mind,” from Don Toliver and Doja Cat, and “Messy,” from Rosé. Sheeran is set to release his new album, Play, on September 12, which features the singles “Azizam” and “Old Phone.” (Rolling Stone)
