Flying Burrito Sparks Road Rage in Texas
A burrito bomb may have been the most Texas way possible to start a road rage incident that ended with one man in jail and two terrified grandkids caught in the crossfire.
It all went down in the parking lot of a Dollar Tree (of course it did) when Arturo Villareal was in his car with his two granddaughters. According to Harris County authorities, a verbal spat broke out between Villareal and another driver. As Villareal tried to drive away, the other man allegedly chucked a burrito at his car, a move that was both bold and messy, but apparently not criminal.
Villareal’s response? He didn’t “taco” ’bout it. He whipped his car around and slammed into the other driver’s vehicle, causing major damage.
The 53-year-old was arrested and booked into Harris County Jail on a felony charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon — that deadly weapon being his Chevy, not a chimichanga.
The burrito-thrower was not charged, because, according to investigators, the tortilla-torpedo didn’t actually cause any damage. Just a mess and a whole lot of questions.
Final tally: 1 flying burrito, 1 felony arrest, 2 traumatized grandkids, and 0 tolerance for Dollar Tree drama.
