Back in 2022, Minneapolis resident Curtis Ingvoldstad shaped a 20-foot-tall pencil out of a damaged tree. On the first Saturday of June, this giant pencil will be sharpened for the fourth time. Just like a regular pencil, the tip is worn down over time from wear and tear. The public sharpening event, which will take place on June 7th, always features dancing, live music, and people in various pencil-themed costumes. The Loti Pencil, while it usually looks like a regular No. 2 writing utensil, was once dressed up like Superman, complete with glasses and a cape. (Loti Pencil Instagram)
