Last Friday, the world’s first live sperm race took place at the Los Angeles Center Studios. The event featured a “microscopic racetrack” where viewers could see the swimmers live. However, a fertility doctor has said the footage he saw was not that of human sperm. “This is CGI, this is computer-generated,” Dr. Steven Palter said, noting differences in proportions and swimming technique. “What’s the real story guys, why are you doing this, why are you putting out fake videos?” Dr. Palter asked. PR reps from Sperm Racing organizers issued a document saying: “For added entertainment value, the live positions of the sperm are mapped onto a dynamic 3D model of the track.” (metro.co.uk)
