The Institute for Quality of Life has released its Happy City index for the year, and Copenhagen, Denmark tops the list! The organization looks at 82 indicators of joy including: environment; economy; health; and mobility. Copenhagen ranks high due to its commitment to education, access to healthcare, and sustainability. Zurich came in second place, followed by Singapore. The highest-ranking American cities were New York and Minneapolis, which came in 17th and 30th place, respectively. “We’re all about uncovering and celebrating positive trends that boost happiness around the world,” the Institute noted.
