Someone Just Paid $88K for a Charizard-Shaped Cheeto—Because the Internet Is Wild
We’ve officially reached peak collector chaos—because someone just dropped $87,840 on a Flamin’ Hot Cheeto that kinda, sorta looks like Charizard.
Affectionately dubbed “Cheetozard,” the 3-inch spicy snack was sold through Goldin, an online auction site. Bidding started at just $250, but after 60 bids and a whole lot of internet madness, one lucky winner walked away with the most expensive snack they’ll never eat.
To make this even more extra, the Cheeto was encased in a custom Pokémon card display, because nothing says “investment piece” like a fragile, highly perishable corn puff.
Social media went wild for Cheetozard, proving once again that the internet will turn literally anything into a high-stakes bidding war. Note to self to look at all food before snacking!
