77-Year-Old Man Arrested for Puncturing Tires, Smearing Petroleum Jelly on Cars
Some people take parking disputes a little too seriously—like 77-year-old Michael Cochran, who was arrested in Florida after vandalizing multiple vehicles near a restaurant in Isle of Capri.
Surveillance footage allegedly captured Cochran smearing petroleum jelly on car door handles and windshields before puncturing tires with a sharp object. One victim, who had been dining nearby, reported more than $1,300 in damages, while two others racked up repair bills ranging from $600 to nearly $800.
When confronted by deputies, Cochran insisted he thought the vehicles were illegally parked on his property. He also bizarrely claimed that he and a friend had been outside “killing cane toads” with sharp objects.
This isn’t Cochran’s first run-in with the law—he was arrested earlier this month on a similar charge. Now, he’s facing additional counts of criminal mischief, proving once again that Florida never disappoints.
