Officer’s Career Takes a Wrong Turn After Rendezvous with “Dream” Turns into a Nightmare
Sometimes bad decisions lead to worse outcomes, and that’s exactly what happened to a former Virginia Beach police officer. What started as a quick fling with a sex worker named Alexus “Dream” Copeland ended with the officer’s car—and career—driving off into the sunset.
According to court documents, the officer met “Dream” online, hired her for a short visit, and paid via Apple Pay before hopping into the shower. Instead of joining him, however, Dream made a swift exit, taking his phone, wallet, keys, and car with her.
While the officer isn’t facing criminal charges, Dream was caught and now faces a laundry list of them, including: Grand larceny auto theft, Credit card fraud, and Prostitution.
Though Dream claimed the officer let her borrow the car, court records show otherwise. Meanwhile, the officer’s department wasn’t as forgiving about his questionable choices—he lost his job on January 7.
Currently, the case remains under investigation, and Dream is due back in court in March.
