3-Year-Old Scratched by Monkey Inside Indiana Walmart
A 3-year-old child is recovering after being scratched by a Java Macaque monkey inside a Walmart in central Indiana. The monkey, a 16-year-old emotional support animal, was reportedly on a leash and wearing a diaper when the incident occurred. The child’s mother said the monkey’s paperwork was actually registered to a dog.
Although the parents declined medical treatment at the scene, the mother is now advocating for stricter regulations on wild animals in public spaces, hoping Indiana lawmakers will address the issue. It remains unclear if a police report was filed.
