FARGO (KFGO) – Fargo Police are investigating a shooting at VIP Barber Shop and Salon at 745 45th St S. Police were called to the barber shop just before 7 p.m. Saturday.
Witnesses who were in the shop when the shooting happened told KFGO News that two barbers got into an argument. One of the men shot the other in the leg. They say the shooter called 911 to self-report the shooting and then ran away.
The shooting happened near the Fargo-West Fargo border, and officers from both police departments were seen patrolling the area shortly after the call came in.
Fargo Police located the suspect at his apartment at 4000 block of 34th Ave S. at 8 p.m. 23-year-old Demarcos Rapley was arrested for Felony Aggravated Assault with a Weapon and Felony Reckless Endangerment
The victim was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Fargo Police, West Fargo Police, North Dakota Highway Patrol, Fargo Fire, and Sanford Ambulance all responded to the scene.
