Florida Man’s Sticky Situation: The Tale of the Unpaid Waffle House Tattoo
Max Krejckant, a 33-year-old Florida resident, found himself in a stickier situation than Waffle House syrup when he pled guilty to theft for failing to pay for a $250 Waffle House tattoo adorning his calf. According to court records had little defense and pleaded no contest to the misdemeanor charge related to the tattoo he obtained from the Ink Godz parlor in St. Petersburg.
Reportedly, Krejckant, under the influence of alcohol, requested the five-inch Waffle House tattoo in black and gray (an extra $100 to add the Waffle House yellow). However, when faced with the $250 bill, he had only six dollars to his name and refused all payment options.
He was arrested and spent a night in the county jail before his neighbor at Clearwater’s Avalon RV Resort posted his $150 bond. The tattoo, captured in a photo at the shop, became a symbol of Krejckant’s escapade. Following his plea, Judge Robert Dittmer ordered him to pay $675 in fines, court costs, and fees.
There’s brand loyalty, and then there’s getting a $250 Waffle House tattoo with only six bucks to your name. Krejackant put his money where his calf is – or rather, didn’t. On the bright side, Max now has a great conversation starter with fresh ink and a story.
