FARGO (KFGO) – The Fargo Police Department’s 2023 annual report has been released.
Police Chief Dave Zibolski says officers responded to more than 94,700 service calls in 2023. He told the city commission that the spread of fentanyl has to be a top police priority. He calls it a “significant concern.”
There was a 126% increase in fentanyl pills seized. The Cass County Drug Task Force reported that it recovered 85,660 fentanyl pills in 2023.
Zibolski also says there has been an increase in the clearance rates of crimes resulting in arrests. The number of violent crimes, including murder, rape, robbery, aggravated assault, and burglary dropped in 2023.
