GRAND FORKS, N.D. (KFGO/KNOX) – The University of North Dakota has announced a new half-billion dollar fundraising campaign.
Leaders outlined the four pillars of the $500 million “Forever UND” campaign. $125 million is for scholarships, $120 million for faculty and research, capital projects will receive $175 million, and $80 million will go to programs and priority needs across the campus.
UND officials said the university has already raised $368 million during the “silent” phase of the fundraising drive, which started in 2018 and included major donors.
Werner and Colleen Nistler are co-chairs of the campaign. The Nistlers were the lead donors of the $70 million Nistler College of Business and Public Administration building.
