LITTLE FALLS, Minn. (KFGO) – A Little Falls man has been arrested in the July 6 death of a baby at a home in Little Falls.
Investigators with Little Falls Police and the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension arrested 40-year-old Erik Blanco for the death of 14-month-old Riverlynn VanNorman.
VanNorman’s mother called 911 to report that her daughter was not breathing. The girl died at the hospital in Little Falls. The Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office determined that VanNorman died of multiple head and neck injuries consistent with homicidal violence.
Police say Blanco had been caring for the child while her mother was away. The victim and her mother had been temporarily staying with Blanco.
