WEST FARGO (KFGO) – The first West Fargo Police K-9 died Thursday at the age of 14.
The department said K-9 Disco took his final ride with his partner and best friend, Assistant Chief Pete Nielsen. The pair, who were deployed over 1,000 times together, visited their favorite places and flashed the patrol squad’s lights one last time.
During his time on the force, Disco assisted numerous agencies in seizing millions of dollars in drugs, felony arrests, and tracking missing people.
Disco retired from the force in 2018 after seven years of service and continued to live with Nielsen until his death.
