GRAND FORKS, N.D. (KFGO) – The North Dakota Highway Patrol has released the names of drivers involved in a serious-injury crash Sunday night near Larimore, North Dakota.
The Highway Patrol said 77-year-old Gayle Melby of Fargo was seriously hurt when her SUV was struck by a car driven by a man who failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of U.S. Highway 2 and State Highway 18 shortly after 8:30 p.m.
Melby’s SUV went into the ditch, rolled, and came to a rest on its wheels. Melby was taken to Altru Hospital in Grand Forks.
The car, driven by 48-year-old David Moen of Grand Forks, came to a rest in the intersection. Moen was not hurt.
Both drivers were wearing seat belts.
Moen was cited for failure to yield at a stop sign.
