FARGO (KFGO) – One person was injured in a garage fire in north Fargo and a trailer home was damaged by a heavy fire in south Fargo Monday night.
The first fire, in a detached garage, was reported just after 8:00 p.m. at 830 12th St. N. One man sustained minor burns as he attempted to put out the fire prior to firefighters arriving. He was treated for his injuries on-scene and refused further medical care.
Then just after 11:00 p.m. firefighters responded to another fire – this time at 723 Countryside Trailer Court S. Firefighters encountered heavy fire conditions coming from multiple windows when they arrived but were able to quickly knock down the blaze and enter the home. A search was completed and no one was found inside.
The Fargo Fire Dept. is conducting investigations into both incidents, and the cause has not been determined for either fire. Damage assessments are not available at this time.
Four engines, one ladder truck, one command vehicle and 16 firefighters responded to the fires and Fargo Police and Sanford Ambulance assisted.
