FARGO (KFGO) – The Fargo Fire Department released the names of the father and his child who were the victims of a Fargo apartment fire Friday afternoon.
Three-year-old SerenityRae Zamarron died the same day as the fire. 26-year-old Jose Allan Adrian Zamarron Tellez died on Saturday.
Firefighters responded to 4355 10th Avenue South for smoke in the second-floor hallway of the three-story apartment building and found fire in a second-floor apartment. Fire crews found the two inside their apartment and were taken to the hospital.
The cause of death is being investigated by Cass County Coroner’s Office and Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office.
The cause of the fire in the apartment remains under investigation. A GoFundMe has been started for the family.
