HORACE, N.D. (KFGO) – The Horace City Council has set a recall election for council member Stephanie Landstrom on August 15 after a group turned in petitions recalling her.
Landstrom was one of three council members who voted to suspend a tax abatement program for new home construction. There are three real estate agents who are part of a group of the recall committee who gathered signatures for the special election. The minimum required was 98.
Landstrom says she will run to protect her seat. The filing deadline to oppose her is June 13. This is the second Horace City Council recall election in recent years.
The recall election will cost around $34,000. Polls will be open from 7 to 7.
