MINNEAPOLIS – A Maple Grove man who brought a machine gun to the funeral of a known gang member will spend 2.5 years in federal prison.
Quantez Ward and his brother, Cortez, were pulled over last May and police found an AK-style gun in a backpack and an “un-serialized” pistol with a large-capacity magazine with 19 rounds of ammunition.
A search of their home in July led to the seizure of additional guns and rifles.
Quantez was sentenced after pleading guilty to possession of firearms as a felon.
