FARGO (KFGO) – The call is going out for volunteers to fill sandbags ahead of potential flooding in parts of Cass County.
The county highway dept. building at 1201 Main Ave. West, east of the fairgrounds will be used. Volunteers will be needed for two to three-hour shifts beginning Tuesday. The work is expected to continue through April 19.
Earlier this week at a flood preparedness meeting, county leaders said they expected that 100,000 sandbags would be needed. With the new snow and extended forecast, the target is now 200,000 sandbags.
