MINNEAPOLIS (KFGO) – Minnesota DOT cameras captured dramatic footage of a fleeing car plummeting off an overpass in Minneapolis Friday morning. A state trooper was trying to make a traffic stop on I-94 but the driver fled. The car exited the interstate at a high rate of speed and lost control, going off an overpass and landing on its roof.
Patrol Lt. Gordon Shank says the driver and passenger, both juveniles, then ran from the crashed car but they were caught with the help of police officers who were nearby and aware of the pursuit.
An investigation is ongoing and charges have not been determined. Video below from MN Safety Alerts.
