JAMESTOWN, N.D. (KFGO/NewsDakota) – A Jamestown High School teacher has been arrested for possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver.
Amy Tarno, 45, was arrested by the Stutsman County Narcotics Task Force after officers executed a search warrant of her home and found around 30 grams of meth, 17 grams of marijuana, various controlled prescription medications, LSD, THC edibles, and paraphernalia for using and manufacturing meth.
Tarno teaches Business Education and is the high school assistant volleyball coach.
In a statement, Jamestown Public School Superintendent Robert Lech confirmed the district received a report from law enforcement of “alleged inappropriate conduct” by a teacher. Tarno has been placed on administrative leave pending an investigation.
Tarno is currently in the Stutsman County jail.
