(NDSU Athletics) VERMILLION, S.D. – The North Dakota State men’s basketball team lost 71-62 in a Summit League road game at South Dakota on Thursday night.
Junior Boden Skunberg led the Bison with 23 points. Grant Nelson posted a double-double with 13 points, 13 rebounds and four assists.
South Dakota led 33-27 at halftime. The Coyotes pushed their advantage to 15 points at 53-38 with 10:30 remaining.
NDSU cut an 18-point deficit to five at 65-60 with 1:07 left, but never got any closer.
The Bison shot just under 40 percent for the game and made 6-of-21 (29 percent) from beyond the arc.
USD improved to 6-6 in league play, while NDSU fell to 6-5.
The Bison play at South Dakota State on Saturday at 2 p.m.
