FARGO – The North Dakota State University men’s basketball program has signed two student-athletes to its 2023 recruiting class, head coach David Richman announced Wednesday.
Darik Dissette, a guard from Minot, N.D., and Eli Bradley, a guard from Las Vegas, Nev., will continue their education and compete at North Dakota State.
Dissette (6-4 guard / Minot HS) led Minot HS to the North Dakota Class A state title as a junior in 2021-22, earning state tournament MVP and first-team all-state honors. He has averaged 13.6 points per game for his high school career, and added 8.1 rebounds and 56-percent shooting as a junior.
“Darik’s infectious energy and passion for life and the game of basketball really stood out to us in the recruiting process, and those things will make him and his family a great fit with our Bison Family,” Richman said. “Darik’s relentless motor, along with his size, strength and skill will allow us to use him many ways on both ends of the floor.”
Bradley (6-4 guard / Bishop Gorman HS) shot 47 percent from three-point range as a junior, averaging 10 points and three assists per game. He helped Bishop Gorman to a 30-1 record and a national ranking as high as No. 4 in the country, leading the team in three-point shooting.
“Eli’s genuine approach to life and all of his relationships, along with his ties to NDSU and the Fargo-Moorhead community, make him and his family a natural fit into our Bison Basketball Family,” said Richman. “Eli has an elite skillset with his smooth lefty stroke. Combine that with his drive and his understanding of the development process, and his best basketball is ahead of him.”
The Bison have played in four consecutive Summit League Tournament championship games from 2019-22, winning the title in 2019 and 2020. Over the past three seasons, NDSU ranks 50th out of 358 Division I schools in winning percentage.
