MINNEAPOLIS – The Minnesota Medical Association is encouraging seasonal flu vaccines and Covid-19 boosters before the holidays.
Association President Dr. Will Nicholson says there are indications it will be an active flu season and cases of RSV are filling hospital beds. He says flu and Covid cases will likely increase as Minnesotans move indoors due to colder weather.
There were very few cases of influenza last season. Nicholson says only about 13% of all Minnesota residents are up to date on their Covid vaccinations.
