DULUTH, Minn. – A Duluth school bus driver will serve jail time for driving drunk with a high school basketball team on board last December.
The St. Louis County Attorney’s Office says 48-year-old Shawn Zelazny pleaded guilty to second-degree D-W-I and will serve one weekend per month for two years.
Zelazny admitted to driving the Duluth Denfield boys basketball team to and from a tournament in Hibbing while under the influence of alcohol.
The State Patrol says Zelazny’s breath test showed a .218 blood alcohol concentration. The legal limit for a commercial driver is .04.
