GRAND FORKS, N.D. – An East Grand Forks couple is donating $2.6 million dollars to the UND hockey program.
Bob and Jeanine Peabody are giving the gift through their estate plan, and $50,000 dollars to make an immediate impact on the program.
Bob played hockey at UND in the late 1950’s. The Peabodys own Lumber Mart in East Grand Forks and Grand Forks.
UND Hockey Coach Brad Berry says the gift will impact the student-athletes that come through the university’s doors every day.
