MOORHEAD (KFGO) – Downtown Moorhead is set to get a new look with a multi-million dollar development planned by Fargo-based Roers Construction.
Roers is working with JLG Architects and Stantec on the downtown Moorhead development project.
The project could cover more than nine city blocks, taking over the location where the Moorhead Center Mall is now. A new city hall is also part of the discussion, but the city has not taken any official action on that.
The project would have multiple phases with the first phase including four new buildings that would be located at the east end of the existing mall.
The spaces within the mall are privately owned. Roers says it is working with the tenants with the hope that they will remain.
