ST. PAUL. Minn. (KFGO) – MN-DOT says even though it’s a holiday weekend, drivers should assume there could still be workers in some road construction work zones.
The DOT’s Anne Meyer says there are dangers and urges drivers to avoid distractions and pay full attention. There are many types of work and activity going on in construction zones, such as narrowing lanes or construction cones. Meyer says drivers must pay attention to ensure they are safe and the workers are safe.
Meyer says motorists should plan ahead and use alternate routes if possible. Closure and traffic info is at 511mn.org.
