WASHINGTON – Two Minnesota politicians are on the updated list of 963 Americans permanently banned from traveling to Russia.
Senator Amy Klobuchar made the list released by the Russian Foreign Affairs Ministry over the weekend. Klobuchar said in a statement, “Being on Putin’s banned list is a badge of honor. I will never stop standing up for democracy in the face of tyranny.” Klobuchar helped secure the release of Winona native Tyler Jacob from Russian detention in March.
5th District Congresswoman Ilhan Omar is also banned from entering the country.
