WARD COUNTY, N.D. (KFGO) – Minot Police Department reported a single-vehicle rollover about 6 miles north of Washburn last night just after 9:30 PM. Police responded to a report of a reckless vehicle fleeing Minot into Ward County, where Ward County Deputies took over the pursuit.
The pickup truck fled southbound on US Highway 83 at a high rate of speed. McLean County Deputies took over the pursuit as the vehicle fled southbound on Highway 83.
Deputies utilized tire disabling spike strips on the vehicle’s tires. The pickup continued to flee southbound.
The driver lost control near mile marker 134 (between Underwood and Washburn). The vehicle entered the median and rolled.
The male driver suffered serious injuries, and the male passenger’s injuries were non-life-threatening. The occupants were transported by ambulance to CHI – St Alexius’ Hospital and Sanford Hospital in Bismarck.
This crash remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
