COLLEGEVILLE, Minn. – What began as an idea for a college class, has evolved into a new marketable product.
Joseph Luedke, a junior at St. John’s University said – like most great ideas – inspiration struck in the early morning hours back in November of 2020.
“I had this idea for just some type of device or tool to keep the grip end of a golf club so the end that you hold when you’re swinging just up out of the dewy grass so it’s dry,” Luedke said.
The result led to the creation of a new golfing tool called The Hummingbird.
Luedke said the product is a six-in-one tool that features a bottle opener, magnet, divot tool, ball alignment stencil, groove cleaner, and club rest. He said the company officially launched earlier this week and orders have already started to come in.
