ST. PAUL, Minn. – The Minnesota Department of Health is reminding the public about its online tool that makes it easier for people who need access to the potentially life-saving medication naloxone.
The MDH’s Cody Bassett says it’s a map where anybody in Minnesota can enter their address or zip code in the search bar, which will give them the nearest location where they can obtain naloxone. Often found under the brand name Narcan, naloxone is a potentially life-saving drug that can reverse an opioid overdose.
Since the map’s launch in December, more than 4,600 visitors have accessed it. You can find out more at knowthedangers.com.
