‘Tis the season, and one of my favorite parts of the holidays is cuddling up on the couch with a steaming mug of hot cocoa, watching a Christmas movie I’ve already seen a million times. Which leads to the question – which Christmas movie IS the best? A new survey from Preply asked Americans to vote for their favorite movie, and they broke it down by state, region, and country. North Dakota ended up voting on a two-way tie: The Santa Clause and Frosty the Snowman. Minnesota was the ONLY state to vote for Jingle All the Way (I’ll admit I’ve never seen that one!!!)
But the number one for the entire country (and across the world in English-speaking countries, actually) was voted as Home Alone, followed by The Grinch (2018 version) and Elf. All classics, of course, and perfect options for the entire family. My personal favorite (if we’re not counting Die Hard, of course) is National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation, UNBELIEVABLY rated number TEN on the list, when it should at least be top five. Our family has to watch it every single year and no other movie can compare. Here’s the thing though – you watch what YOU like this holiday season. But if you haven’t seen some of these titles listed, you should definitely check them out!
Happy watching! And if you wanna put a little bit of Baileys in your hot cocoa this year for movie night, I won’t tell a soul. 😉
XOXO, Alyssa
