FARGO (KFGO) – A St. Michael, North Dakota man has been indicted by a federal grand jury in a crash on the Spirit Lake Reservation that killed three people.
18-year-old Winter Bigtrack was driving a car that left a road and overturned on August 11.
Three of the five people in the car died. Those killed were a man, a boy and a girl. Another passenger was hospitalized in Fargo. Their ages have not been released. Bigtrack suffered a broken back and people in another car that was part of the crash had minor injuries.
The US Attorney’s Office says Bigtrack was driving without a license, was speeding and passing in a no-passing zone and under the influence of alcohol and drugs.
