FARGO, N.D. – The University of Michigan is unable to compete in the NCAA men’s hockey tournament due to COVID-19 protocols.

Michigan was scheduled to face the University of Minnesota Duluth in the first round from Scheels Arena at 3 p.m. this afternoon. UMD advances with a no contest to the Fargo Regional championship game, they’ll await the winner of the University of North Dakota and American International College.
UND’s game with AIC has been moved up an hour from an 8:30 p.m. start time to a 7:30 p.m. puck drop tonight with the cancelation of Michigan and Minnesota Duluth.
