M State Detroit Lakes campus
DETROIT LAKES, Minn. (KFGO) – M State and the Minnesota State College System is planning to close the M State campus in Detroit Lakes.
School officials say the community & technical college is large and aging, and is not being used enough to justify the cost of operating it.
The campus will not close immediately. M State expects it to remain open until at least the summer of 2028.
Officials say the programs currently offered at the Detroit Lakes campus will continue at M State, with little disruption to students.
M State says it will continue serving students, businesses and communities in the Detroit Lakes area.
