FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) – Fargo Hector International Airport built a skyway so travelers can have easy access to their flights.
They can now go from the parking garage to their flight in under 15 minutes. The skyway connects to the second floor of the parking garage.
The Chairman of the Airport Authority came up with the idea, to make catching flights safe.
“We strongly believe that a strong growing airport, drives a business community. That was part of it, how do we make this more convenient for customers?” Rick Berg said.
More than 600,000 people fly in and out of the International Airport.
Executive Director of the Airport Shawn Dobberstein said the Skyway and the parking ramp combined cost $47 million, and took over two years to complete.
“It’s all about the customer experience and their comforts, especially whether it’s really hot or cold, just making that experience more palpable for them as they arrive and depart from Fargo’s Hector International Airport,” Dobberstein said.
