(KNFL/KFGO) – The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks pitching handled Sioux City’s offense to win game two of their three game series. The RedHawks would send bullpen arm Parker Harm in to start the game today for Fargo-Moorhead. Sioux City would give the ball to right-handed starter Peniel Otano.
The game would remain scoreless all the way until the top of the fifth inning. Aidan Byrne would single with one out and would reach second on a wild pitch. The Explorers would then intentionally walk Eric Filia, followed by a walk from Tripp Clark to load the bases with two outs. Dillon Thomas would be hit by a pitch with a two strike count to give the RedHawks their first run.
In the top of the sixth, the RedHawks would add another courtesy of a Brian Fuentes sacrifice fly.
Sioux City would get their only run of the game in the bottom of the sixth, coming from a bases loaded wild pitch from Kyle Crigger.
Kyle Crigger would get the win in this game for the RedHawks, tallying 6.0 innings, 1 run allowed on 4 hits, while walking 3 and striking out 2. Parker Harm for Fargo-Moorhead tallied 3.0 innings, giving up just 1 hit, walking 1 and striking out 5.
Explorers starter Peniel Otano was charged with the loss after going 5.0 innings, giving up 1 run on 4 hits, walking 5 and striking out 4.
