Stray Kids have extended their chart record with another major U.S. debut. The K-pop group’s new mini-album, THIS & THAT, opened at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, giving the group its ninth consecutive chart-topping release.
Billboard said the album earned 369,000 equivalent album units in the United States during the tracking week ending August 13. Of that total, 357,000 came from traditional album sales, marking the group’s biggest week by units earned to date.
The achievement also extends a distinctive run for Stray Kids. All nine of the group’s albums to enter the chart have debuted at No. 1, making them the first act to reach the top with each of their first nine charting releases.
THIS & THAT was released on August 7 and features eight tracks. The project follows a series of No. 1 releases that includes ODDINARY, MAXIDENT, 5-STAR, ROCK-STAR, ATE, HOP, KARMA and DO IT.
The latest debut also places Stray Kids among the groups with the most No. 1 albums in the chart’s history.
