ST. PAUL, MINN. (KFGO-KVRR-AP) – Erik Osberg has won the Democratic nomination for U.S. House in Minnesota’s 7th Congressional District.
As of 10 p.m., Osberg holds 15,508 votes while his competitor Steve Carlson has 8, 061 votes. There are 792 precincts reporting out of 1,327.
Osberg will run against Republican U.S. Representative Michelle Fischbach in District 7, which represents most of western Minnesota.
Erik Osberg won the District 7 DFL endorsement back in April.
He is the Rural Rebound Initiative Coordinator for Otter Tail County.
Steve Carlson is a retired journalist.
Fischbach was first elected to Congress in 2020.
